Cancellation Policy
At Africantrust Safari, we understand that travel plans may change unexpectedly. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our guests and our operational partners while providing transparency throughout the booking process.
Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed once the required deposit has been received and a written confirmation has been issued by Africantrust Safari.
By confirming a booking, the guest agrees to this cancellation policy and our Terms & Conditions.
Cancellation by the Guest
If you need to cancel your safari, please notify Africantrust Safari in writing via email as soon as possible. Cancellation charges are based on the number of days before the scheduled tour departure.
Cancellation Period Before Departure Cancellation Fee
More than 60 days Deposit may be refunded, less any non-refundable bank charges and supplier fees
31–60 days 30% of the total tour price
15–30 days 50% of the total tour price
7–14 days 75% of the total tour price
Less than 7 days or No-Show 100% of the total tour price
Please Note: Any non-refundable costs already paid to hotels, lodges, airlines, national parks, or other third-party suppliers may also be deducted from any refund.
Changes to Your Booking
Requests to change travel dates or itinerary are subject to availability.
Additional charges may apply if suppliers charge amendment fees or if new services increase the total tour cost.
Africantrust Safari will make every reasonable effort to accommodate requested changes.
Cancellation by Africantrust Safari
In the unlikely event that we must cancel your safari due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (such as natural disasters, government restrictions, severe weather, civil unrest, or other force majeure events), we will offer one of the following options:
Reschedule your safari to a future available date.
Apply your payment as a credit toward another tour.
Provide a refund where recoverable from our suppliers, less any non-refundable third-party costs already incurred.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering:
Trip cancellation or interruption
Medical expenses
Emergency medical evacuation
Lost or delayed baggage
Flight delays or cancellations
Personal liability
Travel insurance provides valuable financial protection in the event of unexpected circumstances.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method whenever possible.
Refund processing times may vary depending on banks, payment providers, and supplier refund policies.
Any applicable bank transfer or transaction fees may be deducted from the refund amount.

Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Africantrust Safari. Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking your tour. By confirming a reservation with Africantrust Safari, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
1. Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only after the required deposit has been received and Africantrust Safari has issued a written booking confirmation.
The remaining balance must be paid according to the payment schedule stated in your booking confirmation or invoice.
Failure to make payments by the due date may result in cancellation of your reservation.
2. Prices & Payments
All tour prices are quoted in the currency specified in your quotation or invoice.
Prices include only the services listed under the Inclusions section of your itinerary.
Africantrust Safari reserves the right to adjust prices due to significant changes in government taxes, national park fees, exchange rates, or supplier costs before final payment is received.
Any bank transfer fees, credit card charges, or international transaction fees are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed.
3. Passport, Visa & Entry Requirements
Travelers are responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport with at least six (6) months' validity beyond their travel dates.
Guests are responsible for obtaining all required visas, permits, vaccinations, and travel documents before departure.
Africantrust Safari is not responsible for costs arising from denied entry due to incomplete travel documentation.
4. Health & Medical Requirements
Guests should consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding recommended vaccinations and malaria prevention before traveling.
Travelers must inform AfricanTrust Safari of any medical conditions, allergies, mobility limitations, or dietary requirements before the tour begins.
Guests participate in all activities at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to travel.
5. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for every traveler. Your policy should ideally include:
Trip cancellation and interruption
Emergency medical treatment
Medical evacuation
Personal accident coverage
Lost, delayed, or damaged baggage
Flight delays and missed connections
6. Changes to the Itinerary
While every effort is made to operate the itinerary as published, Africantrust Safari reserves the right to make reasonable changes when necessary due to weather conditions, road conditions, wildlife movements, operational requirements, government regulations, or circumstances beyond our control.
Any changes will be made with the safety and comfort of our guests as the highest priority.
7. Cancellations
Client cancellations are subject to the applicable Cancellation Policy.
Africantrust Safari reserves the right to cancel or postpone a tour due to force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, political instability, pandemics, government restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
8. Accommodation
Accommodation is provided as specified in the itinerary or a similar property of equal standard if the original accommodation becomes unavailable.
Room allocation is subject to each property's policies and availability.
9. Transportation
Safari transportation is provided in professionally maintained 4×4 safari vehicles.
Guests are expected to follow all safety instructions provided by the driver-guide.
Seat rotation may be arranged when appropriate to ensure a fair safari experience for all participants.
10. Wildlife Viewing
Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed because animals roam freely in their natural habitats.
Your guide will use their experience to maximize viewing opportunities, but nature remains unpredictable.
11. Guest Responsibilities
Guests agree to:
Follow the instructions of the safari guide at all times.
Respect wildlife by maintaining safe distances and avoiding disruptive behavior.
Respect local communities, cultures, customs, and protected conservation areas.
Refrain from littering or damaging the environment.
Be punctual for all scheduled departures and activities.
12. Liability
Africantrust Safari acts as a tour operator coordinating services provided by accommodation providers, transportation companies, national parks, and other suppliers.
While we take every reasonable measure to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we shall not be liable for loss, injury, damage, delays, or additional expenses resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including force majeure events, acts of third parties, or the actions or omissions of the traveler.
13. Force Majeure
Africantrust Safari shall not be held responsible for delays, cancellations, or changes resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters
Severe weather conditions
Government regulations
Political unrest
Pandemics or public health emergencies
Airline disruptions
Road closures or other unforeseen operational events
14. Photography & Marketing
During your safari, photographs or videos may occasionally be taken for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to appear in marketing materials, please notify AfricanTrust Safari in writing before or during your tour.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tanzania.
