Cancellation Policy
At AfricanTrust Safari, we understand that travel plans may change due to unforeseen circumstances. Our cancellation policy is designed to be transparent and fair while allowing us to meet our commitments to lodges, national parks, and other service providers.
Booking Confirmation
Your safari booking is confirmed once the required deposit has been received and a written booking confirmation has been issued by AfricanTrust Safari.
By confirming your reservation, you agree to our Cancellation Policy and Terms & Conditions.
Guest Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your safari, please notify AfricanTrust Safari in writing by email as soon as possible. Cancellation charges are based on the number of days before your scheduled departure date.
Cancellation Notice Cancellation Fee
More than 60 days before departure Deposit refunded less non-refundable bank charges, payment processing fees, and supplier costs (if applicable)
31–60 days before departure 30% of the total safari price
15–30 days before departure 50% of the total safari price
7–14 days before departure 75% of the total safari price
Less than 7 days before departure or No-Show 100% of the total safari price
Please note that any non-refundable payments already made to hotels, lodges, airlines, national parks, or other third-party suppliers will be deducted from any applicable refund.
Changes to Your Booking
Requests to change travel dates, accommodations, or itinerary are subject to availability.
Additional charges may apply if suppliers impose amendment fees or if revised travel arrangements increase the overall tour cost.
AfricanTrust Safari will make every reasonable effort to accommodate requested changes whenever possible.
Cancellation by AfricanTrust Safari
In the unlikely event that AfricanTrust Safari must cancel your safari due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, political unrest, severe weather, or other force majeure events, we will offer one of the following options:
Reschedule your safari to a future available departure date.
Apply your payment as a credit toward another AfricanTrust Safari tour.
Provide a refund of recoverable payments, less any non-refundable costs already paid to third-party suppliers.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes:
Trip cancellation and interruption
Medical expenses
Emergency medical evacuation
Flight delays and cancellations
Lost, stolen, or delayed baggage
Personal liability coverage
Travel insurance provides valuable protection against unexpected events that may affect your trip.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method whenever possible.
Processing times may vary depending on banks, payment providers, and supplier refund procedures.
Applicable bank transfer fees, exchange rate differences, or payment processing charges may be deducted from the final refund amount.
Force Majeure
AfricanTrust Safari shall not be held liable for delays, cancellations, or itinerary changes caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government regulations, airline disruptions, road closures, civil unrest, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Terms & Conditions
Welcome to AfricanTrust Safari. These Terms & Conditions govern your booking and participation in the 10 Days Big Five Tanzania Safari. By confirming your reservation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms.
1. Booking Confirmation
Your safari booking is confirmed once the required deposit has been received and AfricanTrust Safari issues a written confirmation.
The remaining balance must be paid according to the payment schedule stated in your booking confirmation or invoice.
Failure to make payments by the agreed due date may result in the cancellation of your booking.
2. Prices & Payments
All prices are quoted in the currency specified in your quotation or invoice.
Tour prices include only the services listed under the Inclusions section.
AfricanTrust Safari reserves the right to adjust prices before final payment if there are significant increases in national park fees, government taxes, exchange rates, or supplier costs.
Any bank transfer fees, payment gateway charges, or currency conversion fees are the responsibility of the guest unless otherwise agreed.
3. Passport, Visa & Entry Requirements
Guests must hold a passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the date of entry into Tanzania.
Travelers are responsible for obtaining all required visas, permits, vaccination certificates, and other travel documents before departure.
AfricanTrust Safari is not responsible for any losses or expenses resulting from incomplete or invalid travel documentation.
4. Health & Medical Requirements
Guests should consult a healthcare professional regarding recommended vaccinations and malaria prevention before traveling.
Any medical conditions, allergies, disabilities, or dietary requirements should be disclosed to AfricanTrust Safari before the safari begins.
Guests are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to participate in the tour.
5. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travelers. Your insurance should ideally include:
Trip cancellation and interruption
Emergency medical treatment
Medical evacuation
Personal accident coverage
Lost, stolen, or delayed baggage
Flight delays and missed connections
Personal liability
6. Changes to the Itinerary
AfricanTrust Safari reserves the right to modify the itinerary when necessary due to weather conditions, wildlife movements, road conditions, operational requirements, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Any changes will be made with the safety, comfort, and overall experience of our guests as the highest priority.
7. Cancellations
Guest cancellations are subject to the applicable Cancellation Policy.
AfricanTrust Safari reserves the right to cancel or postpone a safari due to force majeure events, including natural disasters, political instability, pandemics, government restrictions, or any event beyond our reasonable control.
8. Accommodation
Accommodation will be provided as listed in the itinerary or, if unavailable, in a similar property of equal or higher standard.
Room allocation and special requests are subject to availability and the policies of individual accommodation providers.
9. Transportation
Safari transportation is provided in professionally maintained 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser safari vehicles.
Guests must comply with all safety instructions provided by the driver-guide.
Seat rotation may be arranged during the safari to ensure a fair experience for all travelers where appropriate.
10. Wildlife Viewing
Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed because animals roam freely within their natural habitats.
Our experienced guides use their extensive local knowledge to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities, including the Big Five and seasonal Great Migration.
11. Guest Responsibilities
Guests agree to:
Follow the instructions of the safari guide at all times.
Respect wildlife by maintaining safe viewing distances.
Remain inside the safari vehicle unless instructed otherwise by the guide.
Respect local communities, customs, and cultural traditions.
Protect the environment by avoiding littering and minimizing their ecological impact.
Arrive on time for scheduled departures and activities.
12. Liability
AfricanTrust Safari acts as a tour operator coordinating services provided by hotels, lodges, transportation providers, national parks, and other third-party suppliers.
While every effort is made to ensure a safe and enjoyable safari, AfricanTrust Safari shall not be liable for injury, illness, loss, damage, delays, or additional expenses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control or from the acts or omissions of third-party service providers or guests.
13. Force Majeure
AfricanTrust Safari shall not be held responsible for delays, itinerary changes, or cancellations resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters
Severe weather conditions
Government regulations
Political unrest
Public health emergencies or pandemics
Airline disruptions
Road closures
Other unforeseen operational circumstances
14. Photography & Media
AfricanTrust Safari may occasionally capture photographs or videos during tours for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to appear in any marketing materials, please notify us in writing before or during your safari.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tanzania.
