Full Day Itinerary: Momella Gate to Meru's Lower Slopes
- 07:00 AM: Pick up from your accommodation in Arusha or Moshi and drive to Arusha National Park's Momella Gate.
- 08:30 AM: Complete registration and meet your armed park ranger and guide.
- 09:00 AM: Begin the hike! The trail passes through open grassland, offering excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.
- 12:30 PM: Arrive at a scenic viewpoint (often around the small waterfalls or a clearing). Enjoy a packed lunch and a short rest.
- 01:30 PM: Continue the hike, ascending through the lush forest, learning about the local flora and fauna.
- 03:30 PM: Begin the descent back towards the Momella Gate, taking a slightly different route to maximize scenery and wildlife encounters.
- 05:00 PM: Reach the gate, check out with the park ranger, and board your vehicle.
- 06:30 PM: Drive back to your hotel/residence in Arusha or Moshi.
